Nikon Micro Lenses

The Nikon Micro range of lenses are what Nikon use to describe macro equipment, the micro term is used on lenses in order to allow new photographers to distinguish exactly what the lens itself is designed to do. All Nikon Micro lenses are now fitted with the unique CRC (close range correction) technology improving the quality of any close up shots taken with these unique pieces of equipment. CRC technology works by having two separate sets of elements that move in relation to one another as the equipment is focused. This allows Nikon Micro lenses to maintain perfect performance as the distance between the subject and the front of the lens changes.

Nikon Micro lenses are designed with one thing in mind; macro photography. This type of photography is highly specialised and focuses on taking close up images of subjects. Nikon Micro lenses allow the image on the film (or photo sensor in DSLR photography) to be the same size as the object being photographed. This results in crystal clear images when focusing on close subjects. Nikon Micro lenses are designed with the limited depth of field in mind, always a problem in macro photography. Nikkor lens engineers have developed highly optimised focusing mechanisms, some of which are constantly refocusing as you move to achieve picture perfect results.
